Privacy
Last updated 16 June 2026 · applies to Cinder v0.1.0-alpha
Cinder runs on your Mac. We don’t have servers, we don’t have accounts, and
we don’t collect your data.
What stays on your device
- Your projects, samples, and audio never leave your computer. The app has no backend
and does not upload your files anywhere.
- Your OpenAI API key is stored only in your local app settings
(
~/Library/Application Support/Cinder/). It is never transmitted to
isoverge and never written into a project file.
- No telemetry, analytics, or tracking. The app does not phone home.
What is sent out, and only when you ask
- The AI assistant (optional). When you use it, the app sends a compact text summary of
your project — track names, tempo, sections, clip positions, mix/FX settings, not your
audio — directly to the OpenAI API using your own key. This is governed by OpenAI’s
privacy policy.
- Reference import (optional). If you import audio from a URL, a local tool fetches it
from that source. That request goes to the source site, not to us.
- Lyric transcription and stem separation run locally on your machine. Audio is
not sent anywhere for these.
This website
This site (isoverge.com) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-friendly,
cookieless count of page views and downloads. It sets no cookies, builds no profiles,
and collects no personal data; it just helps us see how many people visit and download Cinder.
This is separate from the app, which still sends nothing on its own.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this notice as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a
new date.
